Driving a car

Driving a car can become an adventure . The roads frequently have holes, therefore one should avoid driving at night. For renting vehicels, an insurance against all risk is recommended. For your security, Costa Rica´s tourist board (ICT) recommends: If another vehicle draws your attention to a damage to your car, or persues you, continue, do not stop immediately, continue to drive to public place and ask, if necessary, the police for assistance. If you proceed, drive to the next gas station to see a map or to ask the way. Keep your vehicle locked while you travel. Park only in brightly illuminated areas and examine the environment before you abandon your vehicle. When you lock your vehicle, do not leave articles (e.g. camera, handbag ..) openly in your car. In an emergency, call then number 911.
